This Bottle Warmer can be made with the following:
“DAWN” KNITTING WORSTED or “DAWN” NYLON OF KNITTING WORSTED SIZE 2 ozs. White or color desired. 1 yd. ½ inch ribbon. Aluminum crochet hook size F.

Ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 1, 7 sc in ring. Do not join this or following rounds, place a marker at beginning of each round.

2nd Round. 2 sc in each s c.

3rd Round. * 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * all around (21 s c).

4th Round. * 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * all around (28 sc ) .

5th Round. Increase in every 7th sc (32 s c).

MATERIALS: LILY DOUBLE QUICK, Art. 50, in Black: 2 skeins; No. 3 Steel Crochet Hook, 10 plastic rings, 1 inch size.

NO. 1-TRIVET (Size-6 x 8 3\4 inches) (left)

CENTER: Ch 2, 8 sc in 2d ch from hook, join sl st to back lp of 1st sc.

RND 2: Ch 5, tr in same st, * ch 4, holding back the last lp of each tr on hook make 2 tr in back lp of next; sc, Y 0 and draw thru all 3 lps on hook at the same time; repeat from * 6 times, ch 4, join to 1st tr. Fasten off. Make a 2d piece but do not cut. Lay 2d piece on top of 1st and working over both pieces, make sc in each sp around; join and fasten off.
* Attach to one plastic ring, ch 1, 32 sc in ring, join, cut and sew by 2 sc between 2 sps on Center. Repeat from * around. Sew 8 Rings tog. where they touch.

BORDER. Attach to 7th free sc on one Ring, sc in next 6 sc, (ch 8, sc in center 6 sc on next Ring) repeated, around; join to 1st sc.

MATERIALS: Lily Skytone Mercerized Crochet Cotton—1 ball Cream and 2 balls Skipper Blue (or other desired colors). Lily Pearl Cotton Size 3—1 ball each Yellow and Lt. Green. Crochet Hook size 3.

BASE: Using 2 strands of Blue, ch 43, 4 dc in 5th st from hook, dc in next 37 sts, 9 dc in end st, in other side of chain, dc in next 37 sts, 4 dc in next st, sl st in top of starting chain.

ROW 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in same st, * (2 dc in next st) 4 times, dc in 37 dc, (2 dc in next st) 4 times, * 3 dc in next st. Repeat from * to *. Dc in next st, sl st in 1st 3-ch.

ROW 3: Ch 3, turn, dc in same st, * (dc in next st, 2 dc in next) 5 times, dc in 35 dc, (2 dc in next, dc in next) 5 times, * 3 dc in next. Repeat from * to *. Dc in next st, sl st in 1st 3-ch.

ROW 4: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in next dc, holding final 2 loops on hook, draw 2 strands of Cream thru these 2 loops, completing dc. Working over Blue and starting end of Cream, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next, 2 dc in next, * pull up Blue taut and thru final 2 loops of last dc and repeat from * to *, working over Cream. Make 3 more blocks, alternating colors. (With Blue, dc in next 5 dc, with Cream, dc in next 5 dc) for 7 more blocks. Alternating colors, repeat from * to * for 11 more blocks. Continue in same way. End with 2 Blue dc, sl st in 1st 3-ch, joining Cream.

This Hat and Tote Bag can be made with: “GEM” HAT and BAG YARN, Article 144. 2 skeins each Brown, White and Black for Hat. 5 skeins Brown. 1 skein each White and Black for Bag. Plastic crochet hook size J.
GAUGE: 7 s c = 2 inches — 7 rows = 2 inches.

HAT

CROWN: With Brown ch 2, 6 s c in 2nd st from hook, do not join this or following rounds. Place a marker at beginning of each round.

2nd Round. 2 s c in each s c.

3rd Round. Working in s c, increase 6 s c evenly spaced. Repeat last round until work measures 6 inches in diameter. Work even until work measures 5 inches from starting point, join, cut yarn.

BAND: With Brown ch 16, draw up a loop in 2nd st from hook, then draw up a loop in each remaining st of ch, work back by drawing yarn through 1st loop, * yarn over hook and, draw through 2 loops, repeat from * to end of row.

Milwards Steel Crochet Hooks No. 7 and No. 14. A hairpin lace staple, 5\8 inch wide. . . . Black sequins. … A doll 11 inches tall; waist 5 1/2 inches.

DRESS—Skirt . . . Starting at top with Spanish Red and No. 7 hook, ch 42 to reach loosely around doll’s waist. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 5, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across. Turn.

2nd row: In each loop across make sc, 9 dc and sc. Ch 4, turn.

3rd row: Skip first sc and dc, picking up front loop only, * (dc in next dc, ch 1) 7 times; holding back on hook the last loop of each dc make dc in next dc and in first dc of next scallop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (joint-dc made), ch1. Repeat from * across. Turn. Hereafter pick up back loop only.
